  • Vacation Internationale is the largest owner-controlled timeshare company in the world. They need a complex web site that had a public facing for non-owners, and a private or protected facing for owners. A web site that people could view properties, book timeshare vacations, review their point status, and more.

Vacation Internationale’s management and IT department worked closely with Browning & Browning, where I was the developer and designer. The primary purpose was to create an information vehicle to expedite an impactful relationship with non-owners and owners.

Building upon and extending the house brand style, I created web pages, that were not only simple and elegant, but were functional, accessible, and extensible.

The result was a cohesive brand experience for both owners and non-owners.

Visit the live Vacation Internationale public site.

  • The public site has fewer features and pages, than the protected owners site. The branding is slightly different, too. The banner and logo, while sharing the same shapes, have different colors. The public site uses greens, and the private site uses blues.

Vistors can review VI resorts, categorized by regions and countries. They also, can learn more about becoming a member of VI.

  • The information on the public site is not as complete as it is on the protected sister site. Each resort page has a brief description, iconic map, photo gallery, amenities and activites.

  • The owner site is protected and requires a user name and password. It provides the same strategy and primary brand identity elements as the public version.

The protected home page has access to the owner’s reservations, point status, account balances, and ways to set preferences and change contact information.

A Content Management System is used to notify owners of alerts and important information.

  • The resort pages offer much more information than the public versions. Owners can view resort availability, point charts, and reserve time.

  • Owners review resort availibility for the entire year. Owners can view images of the different resort units.

  • Owners view their point status and balances. Payments can be made, as well as check on reservations.

  • Owners can search current and past reservations. Cancellations can be made, too.
